Past Due Assignments

Malware Assignment

This is an independent assignment. You do not need to talk to anyone else or use wave.

This will require watching several videos. If you need to get headphones, do it quietly. You do not need to ask.

This is due at the end of the period tomorrow. If you do not finish in time, print whatever you have done… something is better than nothing.

First, watch this if you like:

Then, read this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malware

If you’d like more clarification, watch this:

or this

or this

Then, do this:

1) In ONE PAGE MAX, using a chart, explain the differences between viruses, worms, trojans, spyware, adware and malevolent macros (bots & scripts). Make sure you cover
a) a definition/summary of what it is
b) common signs of an intrusion
c) how to prevent attacks
FOR EACH.

2) Add a title to your document that includes the two words that were condensed into “malware” (what does malware mean?).

3) Add your name in the footer of the document.

4) Format your table to be visually appealing. Use table options such as borders and shading or fonts, images/clip art (but don’t go overboard), etc. You will print in black and white so use greyscale shading choices, not colour.

5) Print and hand in.
