About Me
Hello!
I love teaching and especially teaching at a school like Great Lakes. It is a pleasure to work with such talented and caring staff and faculty. It is so amazing to see our students grow academically, socially and spiritually. I have a passion for teaching with technology and am currently working on my specialist in “Integration of Information and Computer Technology in Instruction”. I also have a huge heart for helping all students reach their full potential and am also working on my specialist in “Special Education”.
I have not always been a teacher – I have also worked in marketing and events planning at non-profit organizations. I also have a small business which specializes in photography, web and graphic design; however, it has taken the back burner lately!
I enjoy figure skating and skated for most of my life from the time I was very little through varsity skating in university. These days I don’t have much of a chance to lace up the skates, but I do stay involved through volunteering. Currently I am the Communications Chair for Skate Ontario. I try to attend skating events when my schedule allows.
I also enjoy traveling and experiencing new things… parasailing in Florida and zip lining in Jamaica were great
I look forward to traveling to France with a group of GLCHS students this upcoming May! I really have learned so much through travel and seeing as much of the world as I can… and I hope to see much much more of it in the future.
I have a cat, Jackson who has quite the personality. He helps me with my marking by chasing my pens under the couch and he personally supervises anything my printer does.
Anyways, that’s a bit about me!
