Mediterranean Cruise – Part 5
I disembarked, reluctantly, from my cruise the same place it began – in Barcelona, Spain. I was immediately missing the massive quantities of food, amazing service and plentiful entertainment that had spoiled me on board; however, I couldn’t have asked for a better city to explore to keep me out of a “post-cruise funk”. Barcelona is definitely in the running for the title of my favourite city. It was clean, modern while showcasing its heritage, plenty of pedestrian friendly areas and the best metro system I’ve ever used. It was also “alive” – from the old men loudly debating on the street, to the runners and cyclists out along the beach, to the street performers (and there were tons… it was Hallowe’en). I took a TON of pics. Links to the many other pages are at the bottom. And that’s the end of my vacation!
