Mediterranean Cruise – Part 1

A beautiful sunset in Pertuis, France just as I was leaving for my vacation was a great sign of good things to come. I then ventured via overnight bus to Barcelona, Spain, where I boarded the Celebrity Constellation for a one-week Mediterranean Cruise. Our first port of call was Villefranche (near Nice), France. Yes, I did go all the way to Spain just to come right back on the boat! I headed to Nice for the afternoon and climbed the hill where the citadel once stood. One side has a great view of the Old Port and the other side has a view of the Promenade des Anglais. Signs of fall (including a cold breeze) were everywhere. After I’d taken in enough of the views, I headed back to Villefranche and the ship. But this was just the beginning.
